Buffalo Creation Story Blanket

Pendleton® Buffalo Creation Story Blanket

Pendleton® Jacquard Blanket, Buffalo Creation Story

The central element portrays an angry buffalo that is broken apart which symbolizes his demise and passage back to life. Four buffalo tribes are depicted in the middle of protective medicine hoops, while the four holy mountain ranges of the Navajo surround the central buffalo. This particular interpretation was created by artist Andrew Hobson. Hobson is also known for a very famous painting called Buffalo Who Never Dies. Blanket made by Pendleton®
